The Borger Communications center is the telecommunications heart of Hutchinson County. Personnel dispatch for Borger Police, Hutchinson County Sheriff's Deputies, Fritch Police, Stinnett Police, area State Troopers, National Park Service, as well as for the Fire Department of Borger, Fritch, and Stinnett.

In addition to answering telephone calls from the public and radio traffic from the previously listed agencies, they are the central point for receiving county-wide 911 calls for Police, Fire, and EMS.

There are approximately one thousand 911 calls per month.

In 2005 there were over 10,000 calls for service just within the City of Borger for Police Services.

Borger Telecommunicators have been honored with the Public Safety Silent Hero Award in 2002 and in 2003. To view all honored with the award, click on the links.

To nominate a 911 call-taker or Dispatcher who you believe has gone above and beyond their required duty, please visit the Commission on State Emergency Communications to make a nomination.

Communication Supervisor is Linda Lewis (806) 273-0930
